DEFIANT. Lilith's defining trait is that she is defiant. She was cast out of Eden by refusing to be subservient to Adam, further defying God by becoming Lucifer's follower and handmaiden. Lilith has made an identity out of building herself up into a strong woman, someone that is ruled by only her own desires and the willing service to Lucifer, the one who saved her those years ago. Whilst Lilith's service to Lucifer may seem in contrast to her defiant nature she doesn't hesitate to question his orders when she needs more clarity or doesn't believe in them, such as when he wished to have Sabrina serving by his side, Lilith argued that Sabrina's nature would prevent her from agreeing to this. Though Lucifer inevitably got Sabrina to his side he decided to pose it to Lilith as a wager, letting them see (almost as equals) who would be right. Additionally, Lilith only serves Lucifer due to an agreement that in time, following his plan, she would serve beside him as Queen of Hell. When it was shown that these promises were lies Lilith readily opposed him, first by trying to deny him Sabrina (stopping her corruption rather than encouraging it as she had before, later trying to kill her) and then by outrightly overthrowing his rule and taking the crown for herself. Whilst Lilith is devoted to Lucifer if what she experiences goes against what she believes is right, or she feels betrayed by it, she won't simply sit by and allow it to happen -- she's been crossed too many times to simply sit down and take it.
FIESTY. A fierce individual, Lilith has incredibly strong beliefs, both in herself, Lucifer's plans and what she is able to do and she is unwilling to compromise in her methods to do them. Her speech is incredibly daring, openly challenging others including Lucifer himself with her actions fulfilling a similar lively spark. Whilst much of what Lilith does is reprehensible she takes a perverse joy in it, not so much in enjoying seeing others suffering but simply seeing other people as a means to an end, pawns in her plans to become the Queen of Hell. Lilith is also particularly brave, having survived such a long life and refusing to give up, not showing fear when things become dangerous, continually refusing to submit or back down, aggressively seeking out her goals. Her actions have been a source of strength for other women, a figure throughout history as someone who did not give up, her story told even in recent days through the Church of Night (if portrayed with some inaccuracies).
RUTHLESS. In pursuit of her goals, Lilith will stop at nothing. She killed a woman that Sabrina trusted to take over her life, sacrificed people to raise the dead and has used her magic to trap and manipulate, all of which she feels no guilt or remorse for. When questioned about it by Sabrina, Lilith's reaction is minimal, an acknowledgement of what she's done but no apologies for it. Whilst she is aware that her actions would be deemed evil, quoting Sabrina's mortal side for both her and Lucifer's work, she has no intentions of changing what she does, preferring to succeed in her goals and earn what has been promised to her no matter the sacrifice. Lilith has no time or patience for weakness, classing guilt as something that would only hold her back -- a queen has to be fearless and she cannot doubt herself or what she does if she wishes to rule. Lilith also cares very little for those around her, some of this spurred by her past (such as an unease/distaste for men) but most of this because mortals mean little in significance to what she wants. When told that the prophecy regarding Sabrina would end up in the world burning Lilith merely laughed, stating that she didn't care what happened to the world whether it burned or didn't -- her priorities relate to Hell, the domain she wishes to rule, not Earth.
DETERMINED. The strength of Lilith's devotion can be seen by how long she has followed and served Lucifer as his handmaiden. With goals in mind, ruling beside him in Hell, Lilith would do whatever it takes to get there. She is passionate in her attempts to earn her prize and refuses to let anyone stop her from this. Her convictions can be seen in how she undertakes her plans and the decisions that she makes in order to complete them. After being betrayed by Lucifer, realising that he had never planned to let her serve as Queen of Hell by his side she decides to overthrow him and take the crown for herself, something that is incredibly difficult to do due to his power. Lilith doesn't let this stop her, enlisting other's help to ensure that the plan goes without a hitch, initially allowing the others to act (to keep up her own appearance) before stepping in and taking on a bigger role, eventually being the one to hold Lucifer so he can be trapped, using a strength in her magic that could only be done by sheer force of will. Lilith refuses to allow others to stand in her way, quickly cutting them down or taking a stand against them when she believes them to be wrong. Though sometimes she needs a prod, it took Sabrina's words for her to step away from Lucifer, Lilith initially believing that things would still work out for her (a sign of her devotion to him), she then became determined to see her dreams through no matter what it took.
MANIPULATIVE. When she took over the life of Mary Wardwell in an attempt to get close to Sabrina people remarked that she seemed different from before, though ancient as she is she was skilled enough to be able to mask much of her personality in order to assume the life of Ms Wardwell. Lilith's goals, given by Lucifer, were to sway Sabrina to his cause, manipulations that took place over several months both in her verbal council, causing Sabrina to enact perversions of the Nazarene, to creating events that Sabrina would have to get involved in. Lilith's manipulations forced Sabrina to feel that she had no choice but to sign the Book of the Beast, a success of Lilith's goals that brought them one step closer to the prophecy. Whilst appearing to help Sabrina with her problems, such as exorcising a demon and entering Limbo, these acts ultimately had unforeseen consequences for Sabrina, things that Lilith knew whilst giving her advice (and had planned for), all a part of her task and the prophecy. Lilith's work did not stop only with Sabrina, with her altering her appearance to pose as a tarot card reader, manipulating the cards that she drew in order to lure people to her before then telling (and showing) them of an event which could happen should they not carefully make a decision. Whilst some of these events were not false Lilith had twisted them in order to sow doubt into those that she had done readings for. Lilith is a fantastic liar, mastering this skill by having served the King of Lies (Lucifer) for so long. It aids her manipulations, Lilith having to lie and be believed in order to enact her plans, whilst also having little care for what may happen to those that believe her lies, whether they become hurt by the lies/truth or if they end up falling to a deadly fate due to her actions.
MOTHERLY. Whilst not her most obvious characteristic Lilith does have a maternal side to her, something that helped her in gaining Sabrina's trust whilst posing as Ms Wardwell. Lilith needed to nurture a relationship with Sabrina, acting as a magical guide/confidante whilst simultaneously corrupting her to the Dark Lord's wishes. However, in order to turn Sabrina Lilith had to be successful in her subterfuge, creating a caring appearance for herself that was strong enough to not be seen through. Though much of this is amplified for her act truthfully, this is not something that is new to Lilith, with her initial appearance in the world being one of caring. After being saved by Lucifer she tended to his wounds, healing and helping him, something that she could not do if she were unable to care for another. Lilith also sees herself as the mother of demons, being the first demon, though there may be more truth to her words than just a simple historical fact.
Abilities/Powers/Weaknesses & Warping:
WITCH. As the first witch, Lilith is incredibly powerful. In addition to being able to cast spells, she can use her magic non-verbally and telekinetically, moving objects with just a thought. She is also able to shapeshift, changing her form to look like someone else (differently than a glamour spell), can teleport either through the physical world or through shadows, can create poppets to control other people, can levitate, manipulate and generate fire, communicate with her familiar and immobilise someone. Being the first witch and having honed her craft for millennia Lilith is also skilled in potion making and has full access and control of her craft. She is the only person who was truly able to challenge Lucifer, able to immobilise him for a period of time to allow him to be imprisoned and defeated. [1] [2] [3] SPELLCASTING. In addition to her other abilities stemming from her magic when casting spells she can scry (spy on others/observe places through the use of mirrors), dream walk (enter another person's dreams), summon other witches or familiars, including the Dark Lord, and use necromantic magic (control and resurrect the dead). Lilith is also able to curse an item or object, place wards to protect a person or place, bind an individual to an area/restrain them, manipulate memories (add/remove), manipulate plants/the weather, astrally project to another location (akin to a ghost), conjure demons and other beings, create illusions including glamours, banish and trap demons (and perform exorcisms, though forbidden by Witch Laws), cloak a person or location and enchant objects with magic. If reading from a spell book, due to her great power, Lilith would be able to cast other spells than what is solely in her memory and knowledge. DEMON. As well as being the first witch Lilith is also the first demon. Many of a demon's powers are similar to those of witches, such as spellcasting due to being beings from Hell, whilst witches powers originate from the Dark Lord (Lucifer). As well as her powers as a witch, due to being a demon Lilith is also able to summon hellfire, possess another body (though Lilith took on Ms Wardwell's appearance after killing her through shapeshifting), consume souls and control animals. In her true demonic form, her appearance is that of a green skin tone with sharp teeth, skull studded eyes and no nose. [1] [2] LONGEVITY. As a witch Lilith ages incredibly slowly, being able to live for centuries. As a demon in service to Lucifer Lilith is incredibly old, however, she is not immortal. Additionally, Lilith is also resistant to human diseases and illnesses. She can be cursed with a disease but would not naturally contract a cold or mortal illness. QUEEN OF HELL. After becoming the Queen of Hell Lilith's magic grew exponentially, similar but not on the same level as Lucifer's, and she was able to use her magic without having to pay the same price that would normally be incurred. She has so far been seen using it in two ways: once to return Sabrina's magic to her, the second to bring someone back from the dead (which would normally require a sacrifice to do). LANGUAGES. Being the first woman Lilith has seen language evolve through millennia, speaking not only English (which she defaults to now) but also Latin. It is unknown what other languages Lilith can speak or understand but others are likely very old or now dead languages. PERMISSIONS. Lilith will not use any magic that would control another character without explicit player consent being granted. [link] WARPING. Lilith will find her magic less reliable than usual but also unpredictable in some of the effects that may happen. For example: healing would either make the injury worse or, should she successfully heal an injury, will find that she has taken on the injury instead. Scrying may grant her information that is either accurate or a few hours out of date. With spellcasting, she will find will either happen as normal, the spell is weaker than she'd intended or far more potent than she'd intended (in some cases causing her to reverse the spell). Teleportation may see her arrive at the wrong location, particularly if she travels through shadows.

In addition to her other abilities stemming from her magic when casting spells she can scry (spy on others/observe places through the use of mirrors), dream walk (enter another person's dreams), summon other witches or familiars, including the Dark Lord, and use necromantic magic (control and resurrect the dead). Lilith is also able to curse an item or object, place wards to protect a person or place, bind an individual to an area/restrain them, manipulate memories (add/remove), manipulate plants/the weather, astrally project to another location (akin to a ghost), conjure demons and other beings, create illusions including glamours, banish and trap demons (including performing exorcisms, though forbidden by Witch Laws), cloak a person or location and enchant objects with magic. LANGUAGES. Being the first woman Lilith has seen language evolve through millennia, speaking not only English (which she defaults to now) but also Latin. It is unknown what other languages Lilith can speak or understand but others are likely very old or now dead languages.

γ CHARACTER INFO γ CHARACTER NAME: Lilith CHARACTER AGE:Ancient SERIES: Chilling Adventures of Sabrina CHRONOLOGY: Chapter Twenty: The Mephisto Waltz CLASS: Villain HOUSING: surprise me
POWER: As both a witch and a demon Lilith possesses magic. She is also the first witch, making her incredibly powerful with how old she is. Lilith's magic functions in two ways, things that she uses incantations or spells for ( listed under spellcasting ) and aspects of her magic that are more intuitive/don't require spells ( listed under witchcraft ). Aspects of Lilith's magic that come from her being a demon function differently than magic that a witch possesses ( thus listed under demonic ) [1]
WITCHCRAFT.
( telekinesis ) as well as being able to cast certain spells non-verbally she can also use her magic telekinetically, able to move objects with a thought or the guiding gestures of her hand. She can also use it to physically hold someone in place, unable to move any part of themselves [1] [2] [3] ( levitation ) with focus and a clear mind, Lilith is able to levitate, something she may do in addition to divining information about a place or dream walkings [1] ( poppet puppetry ) with the use of a poppet made to look like another, Lilith can use a poppet to control another person or object (such as a scarecrow). Lilith can also combine this with her summoning spell to bring a person to her. Lilith has also created a larger 'poppet-like' creature, similar to a golem that she controlled through it having her rib as part of it. [1] ( potion making ) combined with a knowledge of herbalism, witches are able to make potions, poultices and poisons through using different herbs and plants ( divination ) witches are able to divine knowledge about objects/locations (with great focus) and can occasionally receive visions through dreams. Witches are also able to see and communicate with spirits of the dead ( familiar communication ) the ability to communicate with and understand their familiar, a goblin that takes the form of an animal in order to blend in with the mortal world. Before she killed it Lilith's familiar was a raven named Stolas [1] ( longevity ) a passive part of being a witch granting witches the ability to live for centuries, to appear unaging and to resist all forms of mortal disease and illness. Lilith, being the first woman, is over 7000 years old
SPELLCASTING.
( healing ) the power to heal the wounds or injuries of another, such as when Lilith healed the injuries on Lucifer caused by the loss of his wings [1] ( conjuration ) the power to summon demons, other beings and objects. Other forms of conjuring include creating protective barriers, creating illusions (such as glamours), summoning spirits through a seance, generating fire (linked to nature manipulation), opening portals and altering appearances (e.g. changing clothes) [1] ( scrying ) the ability to spy on or locate another, often through the use of mirrors or another reflective surface [1] ( dream walking ) with a clear mind, Lilith is able to walk through the dreams of other people, shown when she walked through the Spellman's nightmares to locate and free Sabrina. She is also able to manipulate the dreams of others ( summoning ) the power to summon another witch, person, familiar or object to Lilith from wherever it is, more powerfully done when used with a poppet of that person's appearance [1] [2] ( binding ) the ability to hold a person or demon in place, through the use of a binding circle. An alternate form uses something belonging to the person, such as when Nick Scratch bound Lilith in place using her rib and an incantation ( banishing ) the power to remove a person, particularly a demon, from a location. In terms of banishing a demon, Lilith sends them straight back to Hell [1] ( astral projection ) an astral self, similar to a spirit but appearing whole, is sent to another location, such as to communicate with those there ( teleportation ) the power to transport oneself or using bi-location send another witch to another location. Using umbraportation, Lilith is able to travel through the shadows, appearing unseen until she reappears and reforms [1] ( enchanting ) using an incantation an item, person or place can be blessed/protected, cursed, hexed or warded. In the past, enchantments have been used to curse a bloodline, cloak a person/object (with an enchanted object) to render them undetectable, remove glamours (linked with conjuration), cast comforting charms, cause a confession (hexing), kill others (curses/hexes - can be done remotely using poppets) and bind people in an acheron [1] [2] [3] ( memory manipulation ) the ability to create, alter or remove memories from people ( exorcism ) though forbidden by witch law, witches conduct exorcisms through use of holy items and calling on the power of past witches to expel the said demon, often taking multiple witches for the sheer need of power. Considering that Lilith's power is called on within the spell Lilith may be able to exorcise demons herself, either due to her own power or other demonic aids [1] ( nature manipulation ) Lilith is able to conjure and manipulate fire, including hellfire (something only a few witches are able to do but as a demon Lilith is able to do so), conjure storms (such as directing lightning, creating a tornado etc) and cause plants to both bloom and wilt [1] ( necromancy ) the power to control, manipulate and resurrect the dead. Whilst magic has a price and resurrecting someone demands payment, such as a sacrifice, Lilith has the power to resurrect people without requiring such a sacrifice. She also uses human sacrifice to power some of her larger spells, such as summoning the Greendale Thirteen [1]
DEMONIC.
( possession ) the ability to take over someone else's body. Rather than possess Mary Wardwell, after killing her Lilith used a spell to take on her appearance (shapeshifting) ( consuming souls ) the ability to devour people's souls. Lilith typically retorts that she "eats the flesh of men", doing so when she needs a real meal (and certainly a punishment) ( controlling animals ) the ability to control animals. She must be within a small radius of the animal to be able to control them ( demonic appearance ) in her true demonic form, her appearance is that of a green skin tone with sharp teeth, skull studded eyes and no nose [1] [2]
γ CHARACTER SAMPLES γ COMMUNITY POST (VOICE) SAMPLE:
( text | un: wardwell ) There seems to be many variations in what we know, things that should be certain to us but for others are not. I've been informed of 'different universes' since arriving which led me to a few questions.
1) Was anyone aware of their possibility before they arrived? 2) Has anyone noticed anything unusual with someone they may know here?
( sorry, sabrina, but she's gotta know what's going on there )
For some that isn't the only thing that may be unusual. Greendale, where I'm from, has a history of people with powers. Witches. Though a story is very different from reality. Though with this place I suspect that perhaps not all were unaccustomed to having something that made them more than human.
( like lilith herself. this liar is a witch, though she's never going to admit it on first meeting. info gathering first )
FINAL NOTES: Lilith being who and what she is comes with a permissions and opt-out post for both her powers and her general being, including content warnings for the darker parts of her canon and self. Magic that would majorly affect another character would always be asked for in ooc permission before being used and I like to keep open discussion on that. Similarly, there are powers that Lilith very rarely uses, such as resurrection, possession, exorcism and would likely also go unused in the game. She will also not be able to create any portals or be able to teleport out of game, nor summon people/items into the cities that are not already in game. In terms of the destructive nature of her magic, such as creating fire, I'm happy for the size and intensity of the flame to be more limited.
A witch from Greendale, someone that Lilith has a complicated tale with but owes much to. Lilith would do many things for this girl, meaning that anyone who hurt her would face her wrath.
PROINSIAS CASSIDY βΊ
A curious man but also a decent friend, someone that tried to comfort Lilith after she'd been (temporarily) turned mortal, seeing a side of her that she feels particularly embarrassed about. Though it hasn't stopped her like of him, appreciating the conversations that they have.
MAGNUS BURNSIDES βΊ
Someone that Lilith's keeping an eye on, another person that cares for Sabrina making Lilith more cautious around him. He seems to be a good man, someone with interesting stories though she hasn't entirely decided what she thinks.
LUCIFER MORNINGSTAR βΊ "β "
Not her devil. Though Lilith respects him he is far from the Lucifer that she'd loved, something refreshing but also confusing and something making her keep her true relationship with her Lucifer a closely guarded secret. Just in case. That said because of her loyalties she could be persuaded to stand by his side if anything happened though not permanently.
CHLOE DECKER βΊ "β "
The woman who is dating the (not her) devil. Lilith finds her quite curious, possessing both a like and dislike of her, cautious around her even if she does push her a little. Because of her relationship to Lucifer, Lilith could be persuaded to help her if she were in trouble though it might not be her first instinct.
SELINA KYLE βΊ
A strong woman that Lilith admires for her personal confidence, a mortal that Lilith wants to test and see how far she can push her to greatness.
CROWLEY βΊ
A demon from another world, someone she shares a distrust with though for the sake of others has reached an unspoken truce with.
AZIRAPHALE βΊ
An angel from another world, one that Lilith surprisingly finds agreeable, though she wouldn't go so far as to say that she trusts him.
ADAM YOUNG βΊ β
An antichrist from another world, a young being that Lilith has a fondness for given his intellectual curiosity, someone that she'd protect should anyone threaten his wellbeing.
HARRY DRESDEN βΊ
A wizard from another world, someone that Lilith had an interesting conversation with after she'd arrived and would enjoy other conversations with.
ANATHEMA DEVICE βΊ β
A witch from another world, someone that quickly endeared themselves to her with her intellectual curiosity and capabilities causing Lilith to start mentoring her to help develop her magic. Anathema is someone that Lilith would fight to protect should anything threaten her.
EVE βΊ β
The other first woman if not the Eve of her world. Lilith has a fondness for her and great sympathy, hating the life that was given to Eve (the life that she rejected) and has expressed a wish to help guide her now, developing control of her powers and building her individual strength, slowly becoming friends with her. And protective of her.
ELLA LOPEZ βΊ β
Despite Ella's devout belief in the false god (and being very extra) her care for those around her and responses to Lilith slowly endeared her to her -- though Lilith wouldn't necessarily say that she likes her she does appreciate Ella's strong self-belief and would protect her if anything happened.
GABRIEL βΊ β
The archangel from another world, someone that Lilith has a dislike for given his beliefs and their interactions, someone she pokes back at just as harshly as he pokes at her.
ZELDA SPELLMAN βΊ β
A witch from Greendale and Sabrina's aunt, someone that Lilith owes a lot to even if the other witch doesn't yet know it. Because of her help and connection to Sabrina Lilith would protect her. That aside, Lilith appreciates the woman's strong self and at times her wit, though some of her unquestioning obedience frustrates her.

β CHARACTER INFO
Character Name: Lilith Age:Ancient Canon: Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Canon point: Chapter Twenty The Mephisto Waltz History:link Personality:
Suitability:
Lilith's lost her magic and she's mad about it. It's kind of the sum up of it all: she knows entities, she's familiar with big and powerful and bullies, even an apocalypse. Taking her magic away unless she serves one of them? It's also a familiar theme in her life except this time she's less afraid of the thing doing it (famous last words) and would love to beat them. No one takes away her magic. So she'll play nice, find info, work with people, all things that Lilith does whilst trying to get her own plans and goals to work. She'll even appear helpful and useful. Her goals might change and adapt if people end up under her wing or competent in her eyes but for now: magic. She's not leaving without hers (freely).
WITCH. As the first witch, Lilith is incredibly powerful. In addition to being able to cast spells, she can use her magic non-verbally and telekinetically, moving objects with just a thought. She is also able to shapeshift, changing her form to look like someone else (differently than a glamour spell), can teleport either through the physical world or through shadows, can create poppets to control other people, can levitate, manipulate and generate fire, heal as shown when she healed Lucifer's wounds, communicate with her familiar and immobilise someone. Witches are also able to divine knowledge about objects/locations (with great focus) and can occasionally receive visions through dreams. Being the first witch and having honed her craft for millennia Lilith is also skilled in potion making and has full access and control of her craft. She is the only person who was truly able to challenge Lucifer, able to immobilise him for a period of time to allow him to be imprisoned and defeated. [1] [2]
SPELLCASTING.
LONGEVITY. As a witch Lilith ages incredibly slowly, being able to live for centuries. As a demon in service to Lucifer Lilith is incredibly old, however, she is not immortal. Additionally, Lilith is also resistant to human diseases and illnesses. She can be cursed with a disease but would not naturally contract a cold or mortal illness
LANGUAGES. Being the first woman Lilith has seen language evolve through millennia, speaking not only English (which she defaults to now) but also Latin. It is unknown what other languages Lilith can speak or understand but others are likely very old or now dead languages.
NERFS. It's kind of a given that at some point Lilith's going to start feeding her patron, whether willingly or unwillingly, and considering her capabilities I'm proposing nerfs to it depending on time, size or what it might do to her in return. The bigger the spell the more fear it would need to let her use it and it might take something from her (exhaust her or injure her slightly in return). Math-wise the fear is never going to be calculated but it's more a gauge of has Lilith done anything big-scary as to whether her actions would feasibly let her use parts of her power. Much of Lilith's magic relies also on the permission of other people and as such, no magic will be cast on another character without discussion and permission.
Teleportation/Umbraportation: can only travel within the allowed areas for pcs Conjuring/Summoning: only things/people existing in the game, summoning people might feel a little draining Healing: even though she's using it for good, she'd need larger amounts of fear to power it (less fear might not fully heal something -- keep them from dying but still injured). Scrying: will end up dissipating from the surface if she doesn't keep up her fear feeds (similarly for any wards she places or if she magically hides someone -- all of it will drop and fail) General spellcasting/witchiness: the bigger the spell the bigger the fear requirement. bigger spells would drain her/tire her, if it was a spell that harmed someone else she might feel a little of that back on her. areas of effect would also be smaller (e.g. conjuring fire - fires are smaller and more contained), telekinetically she can lift and hold less weight (or hold it for less time). Potions: may be less reliable or have unintended effects Things she just won't be able to do: create portals, resurrect people, possess other people, also large-scale destruction and even though she is power of her own world she's not more powerful than any entity (no matter what she believes) nor can insta-beat any event enemy.
I am also happy to discuss other nerfs. Lilith's main uses of her magic are small spells, conjuring, scrying, and teleporting unless the plot requires her to do more. Anything that would class as destructive to an area I'd check mod permission on before doing (and big destructions just wouldn't happen). My want with her in-game is to challenge her with her lack of power or having less power than she's used to and her struggles around it, even if she fed the entity daily she's never going to have her full access to her power.
Entity Affinity:
THE WEB. has stuck with me for Lilith after a conversation I once had with Terri, but Lilith is a queen of manipulations and 95% of the time she probably is manipulating someone or involved in some machination and that's always going to continue. She's also no stranger to being trapped or manipulated herself (hi Lucifer) so the cycle continues and time to feed a new patron with the same shenanigans.
