WITCH. As the first witch, Lilith is incredibly powerful. In addition to being able to cast spells, she can use her magic non-verbally and telekinetically, moving objects with just a thought. She is also able to shapeshift, changing her form to look like someone else (differently than a glamour spell), can teleport either through the physical world or through shadows, can create poppets to control other people, can levitate, manipulate and generate fire, heal as shown when she healed Lucifer's wounds, communicate with her familiar and immobilise someone. Witches are also able to divine knowledge about objects/locations (with great focus) and can occasionally receive visions through dreams. Being the first witch and having honed her craft for millennia Lilith is also skilled in potion making and has full access and control of her craft. She is the only person who was truly able to challenge Lucifer, able to immobilise him for a period of time to allow him to be imprisoned and defeated. [1] [2]
SPELLCASTING. In addition to her other abilities stemming from her magic when casting spells she can scry (spy on others/observe places through the use of mirrors), dream walk (enter another person's dreams), summon other witches or familiars, including the Dark Lord, and use necromantic magic (control and resurrect the dead). Lilith is also able to curse an item or object, place wards to protect a person or place, bind an individual to an area/restrain them, manipulate memories (add/remove), manipulate plants/the weather, astrally project to another location (akin to a ghost), conjure demons and other beings, create illusions including glamours, banish and trap demons (including performing exorcisms, though forbidden by Witch Laws), cloak a person or location and enchant objects with magic. If reading from a spell book, due to her great power, Lilith would be able to cast other spells than what is solely in her memory and knowledge.
DEMON. As well as being the first witch Lilith is also the first demon. Many of a demon's powers are similar to those of witches, such as spellcasting due to being beings from Hell, whilst witches powers originate from the Dark Lord (Lucifer). As well as her powers as a witch, due to being a demon Lilith is also able to summon hellfire, possess another body (though Lilith took on Ms Wardwell's appearance after killing her through shapeshifting), consume souls and control animals. In her true demonic form, her appearance is that of a green skin tone with sharp teeth, skull studded eyes and no nose. [1] [2]
LONGEVITY. As a witch Lilith ages incredibly slowly, being able to live for centuries. As a demon in service to Lucifer Lilith is incredibly old, however, she is not immortal. Additionally, Lilith is also resistant to human diseases and illnesses. She can be cursed with a disease but would not naturally contract a cold or mortal illness
LANGUAGES. Being the first woman Lilith has seen language evolve through millennia, speaking not only English (which she defaults to now) but also Latin. It is unknown what other languages Lilith can speak or understand but others are likely very old or now dead languages.
NERFS. It's kind of a given that at some point Lilith's going to start feeding her patron, whether willingly or unwillingly, and considering her capabilities I'm proposing nerfs to it depending on time, size or what it might do to her in return. The bigger the spell the more fear it would need to let her use it and it might take something from her (exhaust her or injure her slightly in return). Math-wise the fear is never going to be calculated but it's more a gauge of has Lilith done anything big-scary as to whether her actions would feasibly let her use parts of her power. Much of Lilith's magic relies also on the permission of other people and as such, no magic will be cast on another character without discussion and permission.
Teleportation/Umbraportation: can only travel within the allowed areas for pcs Conjuring/Summoning: only things/people existing in the game, summoning people might feel a little draining Healing: even though she's using it for good, she'd need larger amounts of fear to power it (less fear might not fully heal something -- keep them from dying but still injured). Scrying: will end up dissipating from the surface if she doesn't keep up her fear feeds (similarly for any wards she places or if she magically hides someone -- all of it will drop and fail) General spellcasting/witchiness: the bigger the spell the bigger the fear requirement. bigger spells would drain her/tire her, if it was a spell that harmed someone else she might feel a little of that back on her. areas of effect would also be smaller (e.g. conjuring fire - fires are smaller and more contained), telekinetically she can lift and hold less weight (or hold it for less time). Potions: may be less reliable or have unintended effects Things she just won't be able to do: create portals, resurrect people, possess other people, also large-scale destruction and even though she is power of her own world she's not more powerful than any entity (no matter what she believes) nor can insta-beat any event enemy.
I am also happy to discuss other nerfs. Lilith's main uses of her magic are small spells, conjuring, scrying, and teleporting unless the plot requires her to do more. Anything that would class as destructive to an area I'd check mod permission on before doing (and big destructions just wouldn't happen). My want with her in-game is to challenge her with her lack of power or having less power than she's used to and her struggles around it, even if she fed the entity daily she's never going to have her full access to her power.
Entity Affinity:
THE WEB. has stuck with me for Lilith after a conversation I once had with Terri, but Lilith is a queen of manipulations and 95% of the time she probably is manipulating someone or involved in some machination and that's always going to continue. She's also no stranger to being trapped or manipulated herself (hi Lucifer) so the cycle continues and time to feed a new patron with the same shenanigans.
