Ana is a complicated woman, someone with a great sense of pride and honour whose work and morals seem in slight contradiction. Though Ana’s job makes her a killer she only takes the lives of those that endanger her job or her team, killing only whom she must rather than anyone she meets. When Ana’s team looks at her in respect for the lives that she has taken she reminds them that those lives are as important as the lives that she is protecting. Every target is still a person to Ana, someone with their own family, which causes her regret at each kill. Ana prefers taking a clean kill over wounding a target as a lure, preferring to minimise the bloodshed and avoid needless suffering.
Her careful ways also make Ana particularly stubborn. Though her daughter Fareeha was in a good position to join Overwatch, the organisation for which Ana worked, Ana was strongly against it, insistent that Fareeha have a different life and not risk herself as Ana did each day. Ana’s stubbornness also led to her downfall. When her team became under fire during a mission everyone was ordered to evacuate, including Ana but she refused after already having lost some of her family. The loss of her teammates made Ana furious at herself, causing her to defy orders to protect the rest of her team and eliminate the other sniper. Although Ana was determined to do so things didn't work out as she planned.
This also highlights Ana’s compassion. Ana views her team not just as people that she works with but also her family, people that she would lay down her life for just as she does to keep her daughter safe. She knows all of the details of her teammates lives and their families, and is thought of by them as their mama bear. Ana also shows compassion towards the people that she kills, and regrets having to do so, knowing that whilst she takes a life to protect her team so they may go home to their family that there will be families missing the person that she has killed. Although most snipers would consider their targets just that Ana keeps in mind, and reminds others, that they are also people still.
Ana is a fierce woman, not solely as a soldier but in how she treats those around her. Ana doesn't hold back in her conversations, giving people information without pussyfooting around the issue and using sass and sarcasm where appropriately needed. With her friends Ana is known to joke or speak honestly about a situation or how she feels, even if the topic is less than pleasant. When healing others Ana's tone indicates how she feels about smaller injuries ("It's only a scratch / Walk it off") and she'll often make reference to her part in previous missions ("I'm probably still on the watchlist here") in order to rally her team's spirits or to remind them of what is important ("Stick to the plan, and if you get in trouble, I'll bail you out"). She sees herself as a protector, and not solely because she's relied on to do so. Ana's tattoo, the Eye of Horus, is a symbol of protection and good health which Ana took to protect herself but also mark herself as a protector of others.
Ana's ferocity and successful mission record aid her natural confidence. Ana is very certain about her abilities, using her confidence on missions as support for her teammates, which has also helped her to be considered as the world's best sniper. Her confidence and stubbornness also push Ana's drive to help save others, as even though Ana was considered dead by the world she found it difficult to simply sit back and watch as Talon and other bad guys hurt the world around her. Though Ana did attempt to retire for a time, her pride wounded by her mission failure, she felt guilt about leaving the world unprotected, and realised that even ghosts can help out. When Ana returned to the fight, initially sabotaging Talon's missions before seeking out her old partner Jack Morrison, Ana remarked that she didn't care about the war, only her partner, and keeping him (and others) safe.
Ana's strong sensibilities are something that she instilled in her daughter, Fareeha. Although Ana was opposed to her joining Overwatch Ana taught her how to defend herself, and taught her values such as honour, respect, and how important your team was. For Ana no one was more important to her than Fareeha, and though Ana was willing to lay her life down to protect the world (and Fareeha) the dangers that she faced in combat was why Ana was against Fareeha joining Overwatch. Although there was great honour in their work Ana loved her daughter too much to bear seeing her in danger, wishing for a safer life for her.
Though Ana is a caring and compassionate person her daughter has managed to miss seeing some of that due to Ana's stubbornness. Though Ana raised Fareeha to be able to protect herself, raising her around heroes and instilling great ideals into her, when it came to Fareeha's own dreams Ana quickly shut them down and refused Fareeha her wish. Although Ana did this out of love and protection for her daughter, wishing a better (calmer) life for her, Fareeha believed that her mother wasn't proud of her, and it gave them a tenser relationship. Although Ana is incredibly proud of her daughter Fareeha has commented that others likely knew Ana better, and when the two have spoken in game it has been with distance in their words ( Fareeha: I always dreamed of the day we would fight together / Ana: Wanting a better life for you is all I ever dreamed of ). When Ana resurfaced she sent a letter to her daughter to try and explain her actions, having allowed Fareeha to also believe her dead, but has yet to speak with her personally, still wanting to keep her safe whilst on her mission, and give Fareeha time.

I have yet to find a good tea here. ( Ana's leading with the most important things, clearly ) There are people that can make it but if the quality lacks there is little point in it. You would find more sense in not drinking at all.
( She may also have graded you if you've ever made her some tea. It's nothing personal )
Perhaps one planet may have something worth finding. There has been many other things found, some more unlikely. It is something to think on while we wait.
